HOUSTON (AP) 86 groups from 12 states sent a letter to the EPA’s inspector general, Arthur Elkins, asking that he widen an existing investigation into the agency’s actions. They cited an Associated Press report indicating the agency had scientific evidence linking Range Resources’ drilling operations to water tainted with explosive methane and cancer-causing benzene in Weatherford, a town west of Fort Worth.
Here is a link to the HuffPost article about the 86 groups pressuring the EPA to do its job and pursue investigations into dangerous drinking water resulting from Fracking by Range Resources. The AP uncovered water analysis documents that have never been revealed by the EPA. Check out the article.
While we prefer to blog beautiful images of our space ship Earth to encourage Eco-awareness by all, occasionally we at Casualmere® feel the need to show negative images to stress the importance of Earth ecology awareness, participation and custodianship. This is one of those times.
The Christian Science Monitor also has a very pertinent and interesting article by Mark Clayton, with info. on the wasting of Natural Gas through flaring as well as some details on Methane gases being released into the atmosphere, a serious hazard to us all.
We suggest you keep aware/informed…and do what you can to preserve our Earth. We at Casualmere® do our small part by using a totally Eco-friendly and renewable source for our fabric, Bamboo. We hope you will get in the habit of wearing it.
